Pattern Review - Sunday Sweater by Sincerely Pam

Updated: Apr 15, 2021

Hello everyone!

Another week another pattern review! Its seems like all of my friends of friends are having babies which meant I was on the hunt for a baby sized project. I stumbled across the Sunday Sweater by Sincerely Pam on Etsy and now have made one for each baby.

Let’s get into it!

As mentioned above, I bought the pdf of this pattern through Etsy. The infant sized pattern goes from 3 months all the way to 24 months. There is also a children’s sized pattern that goes from 2 to 10. There are a few different options for this pattern including two color, single color, and two different necklines. There is a free version of the child’s sized pattern on her blog that I will link down below as well as the link for the baby sizes.

The first two sweaters I made were for my friend Karin, she had her son Luka in November. As a baby shower gift I made the two sweaters and sent a blanket.

For these sweaters I used Paintbox Simply Chunky in Racing Green and Granite Grey. I decided to do a pair of sweaters, one he would wear now and one he could wear later. I also opted to do the double crochet neckline. The sweater was super quick and easy to do. It was well written and straight forward; which I was glad for, this was my first baby project that wasn’t a blanket.

The next sweater I made was for my friend Jessica. She is expecting a baby girl in July. I decided to go with one color for this sweater and the funnel neckline. I was a bit apprehensive at first but I’m glad I went with it. Like the rest of the pattern, the instructions for the neckline were easy to follow. The color is so cute and I can’t wait to see her in it.

Overall, I really enjoyed this pattern and the sweaters turned out great. She has all kinds of other patterns on her website and Etsy that I definitely plan on checking out. I’ll make sure to link everything down below.

Until the next post!
